HP ENVY 15.6 inch Laptop PC 15-ep1000 (322X6AV)

I dropped my laptop from an overhead bin on the plane, it was in the bag but now have a damaged cracked screen and need a replacement. Since the computer is still fairly new (Jan 2022), I am having a hard time locating the part to replace the screen. I have gone to several computer repair shops and they all come up as unavailable.

I can't seem to get the part from HP either. I don't want to go through mailing it in and having them repair it, I just want to get the screen and and have my technician replace it.

It is out of warranty, but I didn't have the accident insurance on it anyway. TIA for any assistance!

By taking apart the laptops display, a technician should be able do determine the type of panel that's being used by the sticker on the back of the panel.  I believe it's a 15.6" Full HD EDP 30-pin with the connector on the bottom right. If the exact panel isn't available for purchase, a technician should be able to find a replacement that matches the type.

Thank you all for the replies. I have all of that specification information, but there does not even seem to be an available replacement. The tech looked up the replacement parts and it all comes back "unavailable" or not in stock.

My thought was to get it directly from HP, but they don't seem to have it either.

Do you specifically want the exact same screen, or a possible alternative with similar specifications? The exact same display is hard to find, I found a few online but not with any shops I'm familiar with. HP doesn't have them in stock, I believe I did come across a full top replacement for roughly $600 on Partsurfer. But if you only need the screen, that's a bit much.

If you want a working, somewhat similar screen, then you'll have plenty of choice. There are hundreds of IPS displays that'll fit your laptop, and a technician should be able to advise you on which one best suits your needs.
