Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I'vs had this laptop for about 3 years now, but the last weeks I had some problems with my CMOS. It started with a incorrect time and date every time I restart. After that my keyboard (partially) stopped working, and now my main battery has stopped working and I get a Cmos checksum invalid error everytime I start up the machine. I'm quite handy with pc's and laptops, but I can simply not find the cmos battery to replace it. Does anybody know it's location, or knows a way to fix the cmos checksum, or fix all problems. Unfortunately, the machine doesn't have a warranty anymore.

Kind Regards,

Justin

Hi Justin,

There is no CMOS battery in the notebook and the little power needed is taken from the main battery. So, the best idea is to replace the main battery.

The part number for the battery is 787521-005 and you can try performing a search online for compatible or original battery.

You can also find at this official reseller in the Netherlands:

https://nl.eetgroup.com/search?query=787521-005

Example:

https://www.amazon.com/s?k=787521-005&ref=nb_sb_noss_2

On page 41 of the service manual you can see the steps to replace the battery:

Hope it helps,

David
