Pavilion x360 Convertable
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Through the support assistant I was notified of three updates, urgently a BIOS firmware update to version F .24

All instructions followed, a standard installation process appears to take place.

Necessary restart performed, but then the Support Assistant still shows the update is needed.

MSINFO32 reports the current BIOS is Insyde F .20 (06/30/17)

@DrSPH,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you download and install the BIOS directly from the HP website and check. You can download the BIOS from the below link.

Also, I recommend you uninstall HP support assistant programs and then reinstall from the below link and check.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Success with installation, but not from this strategy.

Ran CCleaner and then attempted the install again and it completed.
Apparently, previous attempts downloaded the content but never actually started the BIOS update program.
That did happen this time though I am at a loss to explain why.
