I was not able to upgrade Bios either.  I reviewed the log created in c:\swsetup\sp91384 folder and created c:\EFI\HP folder (error was showing that program couldn't create folders).  Installation went on, but it was installing 01.02.07 version.

Since I have another HP laptop, I used sp90284 program, but replaced .bin file.  After computer rebooted, it started applying 01.03.00, but stopped after few seconds.  It gave me error that file size doesn't match.  01.02.07 file size is lower than 10MB and 01.03.00 size is over 10MB.

Machine: HP ProBook 450 G5

OS: Windows 10 Pro 1803

If I use "Update System and Supported Device Firmware Using Local Media" in System BIOS Update then I got the error "Invalid BIOS image"

IF I use SDM (version 4.4.0.0 ans SSM version 3.2.11.1) or HpFirmwareUpdRec64 can update the BIOS but after restart then black screen only with continuing 2 long and 4 short beeping.

Pull out the RAM and SSD and then wait about 5 mins, put all back in and start up the computer. Sometimes system start up ok but most time just keep beeping (2 long and 4 short beeping)

Hope HP can solve this issue ASAP.

I'm still having the same issue after 3 months of posting the original message.

Is someone even looking into this?
