My new Model 15 does not have the possibility of turning off the touchpad. Is there a solution?

It is a synaptics touchpad and I found out that there is a Synaptics app in the laptop with which I can turn it on and off or depending if  there is a mouse. Just enter Synaptics in the lookup field.
