My laptop adapter for my omen 16 has stopped working , product number (9Q9M9PA#ACJ) .
There is no 280W charger available on the hp store, there are only  230 W adapters available.
Can I use the 230W adapter instead of searching for a 280W adapter on amazon and taking a chance?

Will there be any drop in performance as i game a lot?

Would love all the hp experts to suggest me something.

According to your model's parts list, your AC charger's part number is M95376-001.

HP PartSurfer

 

HP Parts Store carries an original AC charger of the part number for $184.

 

This Google search shows a quite few vendors carry AC chargers of the part number. You may take a look.
