First, i wanna say Hi to all community member
I need you assist to guide me on how to resolve the issue that just occured on my laptop.
2 days ago i just using my laptop to browse the internet, while browsing teh caps lock button suddenly turned ON while my touchpad freezing. Never had this issue before and i rarely using my laptop.
Pressing Ctrl button will unfreeze the touchpad but pressing caps lock once more won't turn it off, however i've tried to solve this issue and had to admit i must give up.
My laptop product name is HP Notebook 14-BW017AU
Operating system is Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
I'm looking forward for those who can help me.

I understand your notebook touchpad freezes and caps lock light turns on or off,
- What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824(Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
- When was the last time it worked fine?
- Were there any hardware/software changes made?
I really appreciate you've tried troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.
Here are a few more steps we could try:
Set BIOS default and restart:
- Restart your notebook.
- During startup, press F10 repeatedly until the BIOS menu is displayed.
- Once the BIOS menu is displayed, press F9 to restore factory defaults.
- Select Yes to confirm.
- Press F10 to save changes and exit.
- Select Yes to confirm.
- The computer restarts using the default settings.
Use the following steps to run System Tests.

Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.

Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.

From the main menu, click System Tests, and then click Quick Test.

Click Run once.
While the test is running, the time remaining and test result for each component are shown on the screen. The test can take up to 15 minutes.
