Microsoft Windows 11

Sometimes my caps lock key would be reversed and I tried the common keyboard shortcut (Ctrl + shift + caps lock) but it does not work. It just randomly fixes itself after some time. I even tried to search for the keyboard troubleshooter but it somehow does not show up in settings. What do I do?

Hi @soren61,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

To fix the reversed Caps Lock key on your HP ENVY X360 laptop, you can try the following steps:

  1. Restart your computer: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve the issue.
  2. Check for Sticky Keys: Press the Shift key five times in a row. If Sticky Keys is enabled, a dialog box will appear. Click "No" to disable it.
  3. Use the On-Screen Keyboard: Open the On-Screen Keyboard (search for it in the Start menu or Settings) and toggle the Caps Lock key from there.
  4. Update Keyboard Driver: Go to Device Manager, expand the "Keyboards" section, right-click on your keyboard, and select "Update driver." Follow the on-screen instructions.
  5. Check Accessibility Settings: Go to Settings > Ease of Access > Keyboard and ensure that the "Use toggle keys" option is turned off.

If none of these steps work, you may need to run a test on the Keyboard. Click here

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
