If I get a care package does it cover if I already broke it? My screen is cracked and now it has those weird colorful streaks and the screen is pixelated but my warranty hasn't run out so can I purchase one and have it cover my laptop? Sorry if this doesn't make sense but I'm pretty desperate here.

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.
Yes, A Care Pack contract is meant to be purchased before the original Warranty expires.
No, Care Pack contracts do not cover pre-existing damage.
Care Pack coverage does vary by the contract.
That said, we do not speak for HP nor do we speak for any HP contract or Warranty service.

NOTE: HP will be retiring Care Pack Central 1.0 in early 2023. Care Pack Central 2.0 will be your new way to find the right Care Pack: simpler and easier! For early access, go to CPC 2.0
