Bought my Envy in March 2019, refurbished, so the guarantee is long gone. The case is bulging, there's a gap developing at the left edge of the rear panel, the lid won't close fully. HP clearly has a quality control problem with the batteries. And the recommended solution is to discontinue use... I searched for the battery in the HP parts list and came up blank - is there a replacement and is it user replaceable?

HP may not offer a replacement battery but likely the 3rd party market does. This listing on ebay is likely compatible.
Replacement will require disassembly. Refer to the maintenance and service guide here https://support.hp.com/ca-en/product/hp-envy-13m-ag0000-x360-convertible-pc/20655761/manuals
