Certain keys on keyboard not working F6 4 7 = a s d [ k l ;

Suddenly certain keys on the keyboard have stopped working:            F6    4     7     =     a      s     d    [    k    l    and    ;

(I have hooked up a Bluetooth keyboard to type this)

I have:

* Turned off, removed battery, held power switch down for > 1 minute - then rebooted - no change

* Gone into NetBios using F10, done a keyboard test - it fails

* I have uninstalled and reinstalled the keyboard druivers - no effect.

Can an HP support member at least confirm if this is a motherboard or software problem. I already replaced the keyboard without success.
