Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips,
Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
As I understand you want to change the Spanish keyboard to French,
No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:
Do you want to change the keyboard layout under windows or are you referring to physically replacing the keyboard?
If it's the physical replacement, I'm afraid that is not an option as the parts can only be replaced with the once shipped and therefore adjusting a different layout on this laptop would not be supported by HP.
However, if you wish to change the layout from Spanish to French, you may do so using the below steps:
- Click Start, and type "change keyboard" into the search box.
- Under Control Panel, click Change keyboards or other input methods.
- In the Keyboards and Languages tab, click Change keyboards.
- Under Installed services, click Add.
- Scroll down and double-click English (US), then double-click Keyboard.
- Select US (default). You can click Preview to make sure it is the correct AZERTY layout you're looking for.
- Click OK, and then select the French keyboard layout in the Text Services and Input Languages window and click Remove. (If you don't want to remove it, you can leave it, but then you'll need to switch to the AZERTY layout by clicking the "FR" that appears on the right side of the taskbar, and then select "EN English (United States)").
- Click OK to close the Text Services and Input Languages window.
Alternatively, you can just get an AZERTY keyboard and use that with your laptop via USB.
Let me know if those steps worked for you,
If they did, that's awesome!
Give us some reinforcement by clicking the solution and kudos buttons,
That'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!
Good Luck

hello
relative this query, I wonder if you could help me -
I purchased a hp laptop model :
on amazon.de
my query is this- when I set up the computer , I am asked which language choice for the keyboard - the original keyboard is in German - I would like to use it in English once the laptop is set up - how should I proceed? ie: when setting it up - then setting it up internally once initial user access parameters have been established.
Could you give me a complete outline of how in how to set up the initial access step by step ? will give the model number in a second
HP 250 G6 SP 2UC28ES
