Yes and No
1 NO: you can't simply swap the CPU, you have to buy a new System board of the series
2. YES: As mentioned above, you have to buy a whole new System Board which contains new CPU. The series only has 3 options
For use in HP 255 G5 Notebook PC models (UMA graphics memory; non-touch screen):
● AMD A8-7410 processor part # 858587-601
● AMD A6-7310 processor part # 858588-601
● AMD E2-7110 processor part # 858589-601 (our machine now)
