I had a Spectre x360 notebook that failed. HP replaced it, but the new machine has an annoying feature that turns off the keyboard back light after 30 seconds. My old machine did not do this.
I want to disable turning off the back light, but can't find out how. Some say use the Advanced settings in BIOS, but my BIOS does not have Advanced settings
Any help would be appreciated

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I reviewed your post and I understand that the keyboard backlight turns off after sometime and you want to keep the backlight always on.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you follow the steps under “The backlight stays on for only a few seconds” from the below article and check if it helps.
https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c01612362
If you are unable to find this option in the BIOS then your computer doesn’t support backlight always on feature.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!
Cheers!
