Hi:
According to the product specs for your notebook it comes with an Intel Pentium B960 Sandy Bridge processor.
HP Pavilion g6-1347el Notebook PC Product Specifications | HP® Customer Support
Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.
ManualsLib - Makes it easy to find manuals online!
Chapter 1 has the supported Sandy Bridge processors.
According to the manual, the best Sandy Bridge processor you can install would be the Intel® Core™ i7-2620M.
You can install 2 x 4 GB of DDR3-1333 MHz memory in your notebook.
The 6 GB max listed in the manual is incorrect.

I do not think that an i7 suits me since on ebay they also ask $ 80 instead an Intel Core i5-2540M costs only $ 30 but in truth the only reason why I want to upgrade is for the graphics card, do you think the intel hd 3000 is higher than the 7450m in the laptop?
