Hi, I would like to do a mini upgrade to my PC but I'm not sure if the new processor works on my PC. I have an i3 2120 and bought an I5 3470 since they have the same socket. could I change the CPU or not?

Thanks.

The i5-3470 is not on the list of compatible processors.

That does not mean it will not work just makes it less likely. You have nothing really to lose by installing it and giving it a shot. I am going to bet against it however.
