I send this message from Greece, Athens. It is about HP 15-db1006nV. I want to change the "Top cover/keyboard" of my Laptop. The reason is that the color of my keyboard is white and it causes a problem in my eyes. I want to change the whole keyboard and put another, with different colors, like black or silver or anything else but not white. I have already checked the "Maintenance and Service Guide" of "HP 15 Laptop PC", but I can not understand if I have this possibility. (Note: At this moment my white keyboard has both English and Greek characters. If it is not possible to put a keyboard with another color in both English and Greek characters, I could choose to put a keyboard with only English characters). Thank you very much.

The problem is that changing the top cover/keyboard means complete disassembly. You take everything apart including remove the motherboard and screen and the last thing left is the top cover/keyboard part. You set that aside then build it back onto the new one. Big job.
p.17 of the Manual lists the available keyboards/top covers and many of them are only for US layout keyboards but there is a black non-backlit one for international choices.
See p. 76:
Top cover with keyboard
The top cover with keyboard remains after removing all other spared parts from the computer.
Post back with any other questions and please accept as solution if this is the info you needed.

Mr. Huffer, thank you very much. The video that you sent me is really helpful to me, as well as the pdf "Maintenance and Service Guide - HP 15 Laptop PC". I am electronic, but without experience on laptops. But I have a friend with experience in the service of inverters that can help me to do this work.
Thank you very much,
Alexandros Barmpas,
Athens, Greece.
