Hi @Gab018231,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your concern.

The HP Pavilion 15-cs3xxx series primarily charges through its dedicated charging port using the original HP power adapter. However, USB-C charging may be possible depending on your specific model.

How to Check if USB-C Charging is Supported:

  1. Look at the USB-C Port

    • If the USB-C port has a charging icon () or a battery symbol, it likely supports charging.
    • If there is no symbol, the port is likely for data transfer and display output only.
  2. Check Your Laptop’s Specifications

    • Go to HP Support → Enter your exact model number to check if USB-C charging is listed.
  3. Test with a USB-C Charger (If Supported)

    • Use a 65W or higher USB-C Power Delivery (PD) charger.
    • Plug it into the USB-C port and see if the laptop charges.

Important Notes:

  • If USB-C charging is not supported, you must use the original charging port.
  • Using a lower-wattage USB-C charger (like a phone charger) may not work, even if the port supports charging.

Now you know whether your laptop can multitask when it comes to charging! If you ever have more tech puzzles, I’m here to help. 🔌😊

Hope I was able to make things easier for you! 😊
