Hi @Gab018231,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your concern.
The HP Pavilion 15-cs3xxx series primarily charges through its dedicated charging port using the original HP power adapter. However, USB-C charging may be possible depending on your specific model.
How to Check if USB-C Charging is Supported:
-
Look at the USB-C Port
- If the USB-C port has a charging icon (⚡) or a battery symbol, it likely supports charging.
- If there is no symbol, the port is likely for data transfer and display output only.
-
Check Your Laptop’s Specifications
- Go to HP Support → Enter your exact model number to check if USB-C charging is listed.
-
Test with a USB-C Charger (If Supported)
- Use a 65W or higher USB-C Power Delivery (PD) charger.
- Plug it into the USB-C port and see if the laptop charges.
Important Notes:
- If USB-C charging is not supported, you must use the original charging port.
- Using a lower-wattage USB-C charger (like a phone charger) may not work, even if the port supports charging.
