I just replaced my battery w/a new oem one. What's the range of how long each full charge should last?  Also, the charge-depletion-shutdown notice is too short; how may I lengthen it?

With a new battery, you need to calibrate it. See here on info on calibration- https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2268927-1713329-16

I don't see how your solution, M. Broussard, answers either of my Q's..  The Q's are: 1) What's the range of how long each full charge should last in my type of pc?  And, 2) the charge-depletion-shutdown notice is too short; how may I lengthen it?

I can't advise on your first question as that depends on your specific laptop configuration and the capacity of the battery but I can advise on how to make your battery last longer and change when notifications of a low battery will pop up. Right-Click the battery icon and select "Power Options", now click "change plan settings", click "change advanced power settings", scroll down to "battery" and expand the tree, here you can change at what percentage notifications for a low battery will appear. You can also use this "Power Options" window to customise other areas for power savings, eg; setting GPU performance to power saving while on battery and setting maximum CPU utilisation to 50% while on battery will help quite drastically improve how long you can run on battery for. Adjusting the display brightness will also help significantly extend battery life.
