OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-wf0000 (755F7AV)

Is it possible for my laptop (HP Omen Gaming 16-wf0006ua (8F2D3EA)) being charging via USB Type-C charger and cable ... through laptop's Lightning 4 port ?

Charger has PowerDelivery 3.1 standard and 140W of power supply.

It might be possible.

Thunderbolt4 and PowerDelivery are two of the requirements.

HP has always given us mixed messages on this particular question. The Subject Matter Experts answer has been maybe. That is about as good an answer as I can give to you.

Generally, if a laptop was delivered with a barrel type Smart pin AC power adapters connection and a receptacle for that on the laptop, you are better off using it.

Consider that those  Smart AC power adapters deliver some serious wattage

Smart AC adapter

280 W, 4.5 mm, standard, right angle, 3 pin

230 W, 4.5 mm, power correction factor (PFC), slim, right angle, 3 pin

200 W, 7.4 mm, PFC, slim, straight, 3 pin

200 W, 4.5 mm, PFC, slim, right angle, 3 pin

USB Type-C power adapters just do not deliver that kind of power to charge a battery quickly.

Were you able to get this working?  Which adapter did you choose?
