I would like to ask if anybody knows if any of the laptops with USB Type-C for sale on HP's website support power delivery through the Type-C port. I intend to buy a large Anker power bank to bring with me and charge my next laptop with it, but it would also help to know if they will work with ANY power bank, or if there's a list of supported ones.

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

As I Understand you need information on charging laptops with power banks via USB Type C port,
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
What is the product number of your device? Use this link to find it: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03754824
(Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).
Do you have a thunder bolt port on your PC?
While you respond to that, here's what you need to know:
HP doesn't have any power banks tested to work with the laptops and doesn't recommend using one as off now,
Besides, the charger doesn't work unless there's a thunderbolt port on the PC, that said, here are the details of various type-C ports and their usage:
USB Type-C is a smaller, reversible USB connector that can transmit data, video, audio, and data (USB 3.1) as well as provide charging power to many devices (USB power delivery or PD).
USB Type-C video modes (Alternate mode): USB Type-C ports support adapters that can output different types of video such as HDMI, VGA, and DisplayPort, all from one USB Type-C port on your computer or device.
USB Type-C power delivery (USB PD): USB Type-C power delivery is bi-directional, so a device can either send or receive power. This power can be transferred at the same time the device is transmitting data across the connection.
For more information about USB Type-C, see http://www.usb.org/developers/usbtypec/ (in English).

I haven't bought any products yet but I was interested in the HP Spectre x360 13t which is thunderbolt enabled.
I looked elsewhere and apparently power banks won't charge unless they can output enough Watts to the laptop, however I found that Razer does make a 45W power bank for the same purpose to charge their razer blade stealth.
I also found another article of someone who tested different chargers with different laptops and it seems like the x360 does accept power from other chargers (picture attached), so I guess that pretty much answered my question, thanks for answering though.
