Charging light not working

Hello everyone, there is a problem with the charging indicator LED. It used to light up in orange while charging & when the laptop gets fully charged it goes white. But for a few months now the charging indicator LED is working, I mean it won't light up when the adaptor plugged in, and even the laptop gets fully charged it's still the same no response. The charging LED never lights on. I have done the system recovery too for the laptop slowdown issue but nothing changes with that LED indicator. Please help with this.

Is the charging shown in the systray with the battery icon?

Usually the lack of a lit LED while charging is an indication of an issue with the power adapter.

I suggest running the HP{ PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI utility component test for the power adapter.

That sounds like a failed LED component. It is part of the hardware on the system board. 

Unless it was brand new I wouldn't find it a show stopper as it is more hassle to have to system board changed than boot into Windows and look at the charging icon.

Thank you for your generous reply Sir. Yes, the battery icon is showing with plugged in indication in systray. Although I need to replace the battery, as it's not able to hold the charge not anymore.  I have diagnosed that too and the adaptor is perfectly working. 

Even I'm thinking the same. Maybe the LED got failed somehow. 

My B&O speaker is crackling too. It's not a driver issue, I have tried reinstalling the hp audio driver from HP Support, nothing improved. I manually open the laptop and check that the right-side speaker has the crackling noise but no physical damage is there and the left-side speaker in working perfectly crisp and clear. 

This charging LED indicator and speaker issue came after using Windows 11.  Now I switched to windows 10 again.
