HP ENVY Laptop 13-aq0502na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all, my envy 13 is starting to suffer from battery degradation (only lasting 6 or so hours of moderate usage), and the charging port is starting to feel really loose (it’s 3 days outside the warranty and on 100 or so charge cycles) HP sell a type c charger that the laptop is compatible with (https://store.hp.com/UKStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=7EZ26AA&opt=ABU&sel=ACC) but it is simply out of my budget.

based on this I assume the computer is type c chargeable or is this a mistake on HPs part?

if it is would this charger work with it? it has a 60w pd type c output and claims to charge macbooks, HP spectre units and dell XPS units          “UK RP-PB201 (B)” sorry the link isn’t available

many thanks

kyle

@Budder67

I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to know whether you can charge the battery using the Type C port on the computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

As per the specifications of your computer, you will not be able to use a type C charger to charge the battery and power the computer.

Refer to the below service guide (Page 5) for your computer for more information.

I hope that answers your question and you have a great day!
