My charging port stopped working one day so I took it to bestbuy and they said that it may be my battery. Replaced the battery and it turned on since the new battery was charged but still no workkng charging port so I still can’t use my laptop. Lots of people have had similar issues and have been helped but mine is past the manufacturer warranty, so I’m unsure if they will still replace it or how else I should proceed?

How you should procced is to provide the information we need to help. What is the exact model number? Did the rocket scientists (I would say Geniuses but that is a different store) at Best Buy think to test the AC adapter? Understand if the charging port has failed it alone cannot be replaced; it rquires a new motherboard and that is a major repair that would cost close to the price of a new laptop. So it would help us to evaluate your options to know how old the laptop is which the model number will tell us.

The model number is 13-4003dx and serial number [edited]
Best Buy didn’t suggest anything. But I do know someone that suggested possible replacing the power jack harness cable? If nothing can be replaced individually then yes, I’m aware it would be better to just get a new laptop.

Yes there is a charging port cable which theoretically could be replaced separately and inexpensively at least as the part goes. And for sure less labor than a motherboard replacement.
