Hi everybody,
I have a problem with my mini laptop Pavilion X2. Once I didn't have its own charger with me so I tried to charge it with another charger (which was anyway type-c), I did it because this charger had a lower current output (2A instead of the original charger 3A). It didn't even start charging it, no LED, so I waited for going home to charge it with its own charger, but also this charger didn't work anymore for that moment on.
The weird thing is that if I disassemble my laptop, connect the charger, disconnect/connect the battery, it starts charging the laptop (even if the led is off) like in normal conditions.
Did this ever happen to someone? How could I solve the problem?

I understand that you are unable to charge.
Please connect the charger to the wall outlet and wait for some time and touch the adapter (brick type) and check if the adapter is warm or cold.
If that is cold, you have to purchase the new adapter.
If the adapter is warm, please perform the below steps.
Reinstalled Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery under device manager:
1) In the search box, type and open “Device Manager”.
2) Expand “Batteries”.
3) Right-click the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" that is listed there.
4) Click on “Uninstall”.
5) At the prompt put a check in the box to remove the current driver
6) Shutdown the computer.
7) Remove the battery for minute and then put it back in.
😎 When the computer comes back up it should automatically find the driver.
9) Go to Device Manager.
10) Expand Batteries.
11) Right-click the "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery" that is listed there.
12) Click "Search automatically for updated driver software"
Do the same thing with Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controller.
Restart the computer and the issue should be fixed.

Hi,
first of all, thanks a lot for your answer.
For the charger thing, it does not warm up while the PC is on, but maybe this is because the PC doesnt allow to be recharged. Surfing on the internet I read that HP does not allow the usage of non original chargers, unless the device is turned off. In fact, as I said, it charges very well when it is off, even if it is not blinking. I think that the PC now just does not recognize anymore the original AC adapter, after trying to charge it with a non original one.
I tried to uninstall the ACPI compliant but it did not solve the problem. After that, I tried to uninstall the embedded ACPI but I cannot find it, the only drivers I have are the compliant one and the Microsoft AC adapter. Then I updated the BIOS and reinstalled also the Microsoft AC adapter driver but still it did not succeed.
Do you have other solutions?
Unfortunately I do not have another original adapter to try.

Please try these steps -
Step 1 Windows Updates -
1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.
Step 2 HP Support Assistant Updates -
1) In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.

I understand your concerns.
Please perform the adapter test and let us know the result.
1) Shutdown the computer.
2) Turn the computer back on again and repeatedly tap on the ESC until a Startup menu appears.
3) Press F2 once.
4) Go to the Component test.
5) From the list, run the adapter test.
