Hi,

I would like to ask for help. My laptop stopped charging. The problem is that the battery does not start charging when the connector of power afapter is pluggged to the notebook. The charging LED flashes 8 times white, but nothing happens. The laptop on the battery works without any problems. When I remove the battery, I plug the connector of the power adapter, only the LED of the power button and the capslock key light up for 2 seconds, the charging indicator flashes 8 times again, but the notebook does not start. I tried HP service, but they only offered to replace the entire motherboard. However, they sent me according to the error code, which is the reason for the defect.

Failure ID tag: 0U045Q-AQMAS7-MFGGRA-C18N03

Failure code: 605

Device: Power

Error message: AC Adapter Error

My power supply is fine, it works on another model (HP EliteBook G3).

Does anyone know where the problem may be on the motherboard? Is it possible to fix it, for example, by replacing an integrated circuit?

Thank you for answer,

Dave

Good day,

I found the answer to the problem I described in a previous post.

At the time of the problem with charging the laptop, only the operating system (Win10) was installed.

After I installed all the HP software for this model, the laptop started charging again.

I don't understand, but it definitely helped.

Bye,

Dave
