Charging for the chromebook is via either of the 2 USB type C connectors and the supplied the mains adaptor, there's no mention of whether its possible to charge via a mains powered high speed USB phone charger or from a cars USB port whether proprietary or via a cigarette adaptor, I would assume it should be OK as anything connecting via the Type 3 connector should conform to the same standards so in theory it should be fine, but there's ominously no mention of it the the user manual, does anyone know what the position is?

I have gone through your Post and I understand your concerns
The USB Type-C can charge USB devices but if you wants to charge the Laptop then you will need a USB Type-C Thunderbolt which this Notebook doesn't have

Thank you 😊

Many thanks for your help. It's a great shame and such a ridiculous position for companies to adopt that the laptop has to be shackled to a mains cable. I'm often off grid have always been able to charge my laptops up from the car with no problem but it seems progress dictates otherwise, one step forward and two backwards.😤
