HP Elite x2 g4

Hello

Anyone with experience using a third-party thunderbolt-docking and to be able to charge the tablet Elite x2 g4 via the docking?

I would be happy with the hp g2-dock. But I miss the sd-card-reader. Neither the x2 g4 nor the docking g2 station has one.

My Favorit Docking would be the CalDigit TS3 Plus or the Kensington SD5300t. They both are delivering enough power to charge a notebook and have a sd-card-reader.

Thanks

I had several USB-C hub and docking:

1. Anylink 10 in 1 docking (I believe it is cloned of Baseus Docking)

2. Robot HT390 9 in 1 usb dock

3. Apple HDMI+USB-A+PD

4. Chinese brand VGA-USB-A+PD

All of them working fine on my Envy X360 13-ay, and tested charge using HP USB-C 65W charger and 3rd party 65W USB-C charger, hopefully this information useful for you.

Thank you for your pointers on USB-C docks.

Did you also work with Thunderbolt docks?

Because of the higher performance of Thunderbolt 3 and the ability to charge the tablet, I want to use this type of docking. However, I haven't found any specs if the device can be charged using the Thunderbolt port using a third-party TB dock.

All my hub/docking are having PD capability which is able to charge the laptop. I am not sure if Thunderbolt Certified, unless the Apple brand, I had the Apple Original AV Multiport Adapter which is Thunderbolt 3 certified.

This one is working well with my envy x360.
