I just bought a 15.6 PC 15 and there is no problem powering up and charging the battery with the charger provided. It is a barrel charger for the power port. I also have a charging adapter for the USB-C port, but it will not charge the battery. I was under the impression that my USB-C port would handle power, video and data transmission. Is this not the case?

HP has new way to group machines and that is a nightmare you people like you and me to find hidden specs, models/products. Anyway ef1001wm could be the right one. Its specs
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c07651647
Its USB-C port does not support Alt Mode and USB Power Delivery therefore You can NOT use it to
- Charge your machine,
- Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter (some hubs may have builtin chip to support this)
If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only), you can use
- Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
- Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as
For more connectivity, please use
True Universal Docking Stations
