I'm seeing a lot of questions regarding charging via USB-C port on HP laptop. I can confirm that my laptop (Elitebook 745 g6) works fine charging via USB-C.
I'm using Apple's 87 Watt USB-C power brick from my Macbook Pro 15". Also using a High Power capable USB-C cable from Amazon. The High Power cable is from JSAUX and purchased cheap on Amazon. The Apple USB-C charge cable also works.
I tried other bricks with less wattage and not much luck. The 87W apple charger is a beast.

Hi,
Yes there seems to be a large variety of compatible ac adapters
I guess it depends on the config of the machine on the power needed. So a 65W one should definitely work.
