HP ENVY X360 15-ee0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently got the latest Envy X360 15. Ryzen 4500u, 16GB RAM.

I upgraded from a 2017 Spectre x360 13 so I had a 65W USB-C charger on hand. Tried the USB-C charger on my new Envy laptop and WOW, the temperatures went to 100 degrees Celsius while idling, which is the max operating temperature for most CPUs.

When charging with the included barrel port charger, temperatures are around 50-60 degrees. Huge difference. Is there a problem with the USB-C charging??

@DellMaximalist

At this stage HP does not supply USB-C charger(s) to go with the HP x360 15-ee0xxx series, only a 65 W HP Smart AC adapter (slim, 4.5 mm, 1.8 m) part # L24008-001  Your changer could be incompatible.

Regards.

Lol according to your specs this laptop takes in a 65W USB-C charger. If it's incompatible then how is the laptop charging?

I would appreciate more than a half-assed reply from you. Thanks
