Chassis/frame separating

Hello!  I have had my HP envy 17t for about 2 years now and I've just noticed an issue with the chassis.  When I open the laptop itself, the back of the frame at the hinge, separates and makes a horrible cracking noise. Is there anyway to alleviate this?

It likely means the hinges have pulled away from their mounting points. Would require replacement of the hinges and possibly the lower case and the screen housing as well. Needs to be disassembled and examined.
