Hello, im using elitebook 8570p, it was a handover from my brother,  unfortunately the battary doesn't charge (charge for a few seconds and stops, it do it in loop) i tried many solutions, non worked until i realized the problem might be related to CMOS, which gives me a white screen that includes a message says "invalid checksum" everytime i unplugg and replug the laptop (turns on without pressing the power button), i searched for a way to check the cmos but i didn't find any, is there any possible way to help with that?

Hi:

You may need to replace the CMOS battery.

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the CMOS battery removal and replacement procedure as well as the CMOS battery part number:

Chapter 4, page 89.

The CMOS battery is normally referred to as a Real Time Clock (RTC) battery in notebooks.
