I have an HP BS 15-637TU Laptop. I want to increase speed and install an SSD. In Service Manual, no info about the NVMe or PCIe is mentioned, but when I opened the back cover and I think there is a M.2 slot available. But I am not sure whether my laptop can accommodate an m.2 SSD or I would need to change my HDD/optical drive to have an SSD.

Hi:

 

Yes, that appears to be the M.2 slot and I can see the silver standoff where the screw goes to hold down the drive.

 

The slot supports SATA M.2 SSD's only, not NVMe.

 

Chapter 1 of the service manual has that information...
