HP Chromebook - 11a-nb0013dx
Chrome OS

Why does my Chromebook say it's a Chromebook 11a nb0013dx on the box and machine but when I look at machine  info on the Chromebook it says the machine is a Chromebook 11a g6 ee two total different products.

Here are the specs for the two different model designations:

11a nb0013dx is a very specific model with very specific specs

11a G6 ee is a broader classification  of a series of specific models which includes the specific specs of the 11a nb0013dx.

Exactly how do you see the two being "totally different"?

One is a Chromebook 11a g6 ee whole another one is a Chromebook 11a nb0013dx, beside the technical jargon, I just want to know why mine is not showing the model number that's on the Chromebook and the box is different. It says it is a Chromebook 11a nb0013dx but on the machine it says Chromebook 11a g6 EE.

The g6 is 1lb lighter and touchscreen,  mine is not touchscreen, it's just weird that it doesn't show the same info as advertised on the Chromebook itself, and the box.

No the g6 designation includes either touch or non-touch screens. You bought a specific Chevrolet model and the machine is just telling you its a Chevrolet. Both technically true. That is why I am asking. You bought a computer with certain hardware specifications (technical jargon) and if what you got has that hardware, there is no legitimate basis to be unhappy.
