HP Notebook - 15-bs013dx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Both my keyboard and my daughter's keyboard (same laptop model, bought at the same time) have issues where the b, n and 7 keys no longer (or rarely) work (along with some other keys). I have used HP PC Diagnostics and tried numerous troubleshooting suggestions from the HP community, etc. A google search indicates this is a frequent complaint. What is HP doing to resolve this issue as it appears to be a failure on HP's part? Is replacing the keyboard the only way to resolve this issue?

Hi @JerseyDevil13!Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Here’s the step by step guide for you:

update the BIOS using this link.

You can update other drivers on your PC using HP support assistant.

Refer this article to know more information about using HP support assistant.

If the issue still persists after trying out the steps try installing the drivers using HP recovery manager.

Refer this article to know how to restore drivers using HP recovery manager.

If you have tried all the steps and if the issue persists.

As this is a hardware issue, I'd suggest you Contact HP in your region regarding the service options for your computer.

If you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty. If yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Have a great day!
