Hallo,

ich möchte gern bei meinem Rechner den Arbeitsspeicher erweitern. ist es möglich, macht es Sinn den Arbeitsspeicher von 4GB auf 8GB zu erweitern?

Hi:

2 x 4GB of DDR2 memory is very expensive--approximately 165 euros for 2 x 4 GB.

It would cost more than your notebook is worth to install 8 GB unless you can find the memory in used but tested and working condition at a reasonable price.

Thankyou for your answer! On ebay I can find an used memory (2x4 GB) for arround 40€. My Question: What speed should I choose? 667 Mhz, 800 Mhz or higher?

HP Recommended

You're very welcome.

That is a great deal.

You can use either 667 or 800 MHz.

The chipset your notebook has can only run the memory at 667 MHz, so if you get 800 MHz memory, it will automatically 'downclock' or' bridge' to 667 MHz.

Thank you for welcomingI'm not sure that's the right memory. I also don't want to do a sneaker advertisement, so I copy the text here.

You're very welcome.

Looking at the pictures, specs, etc., it looks like it should work just fine.

But of course I cannot 100% guarantee that since I have never used that brand memory in my PC's.

This is the brand memory I used in my HP 6910p notebook (which is one model more expensive than yours) with the same chipset as yours...
