8-cell, 63-Wh Li-ion battery 490306–001
That was the cheapest new battery I could find. The laptop is about 15 years old and likely nobody has been making them for a while. Search the battery stores using the HP Part Number above. I also saw some guaranteed used ones on eBay but not going to waste your time with those unless you ask me to. This is in my opinion one of the best laptops HP ever made, in its day. Pretty much obsolete now, but it will take up to 8 gigs of DDR2 laptop memory so can probably run Windows 10 OK.
