HP - Pavilion Gaming 15-ec1xxx Series

Hello, I want to expand my RAM memory with DDR4 at a frequency of 3200Mhz with another 8Gb module to the one I already have, but I don't know if the RAM memory module I bought is compatible with the laptop. It is an HP - Pavilion Gaming 15-ec1xxx Series. The RAM specifications are DDR4 8gb Sodimm 3200 22- Adata Ad4s32008g22-sgn Ram Memory

Hi:

The memory you bought should be OK since it is DDR4-3200 MHz CL22 memory.

Below is the link to the service manual, where you can find the memory removal and replacement procedure:

and with a DDR4 3200Mhz 8Gb Sodimm Hiksemi Ram Memory

In other words, the DDR4 3200Mhz 8Gb Sodimm Hiksemi is already installed in your notebook?

If so, they should work together.

If you are installing these chips new, the DDR4 3200Mhz 8Gb Sodimm Hiksemi memory has to be CL22 as well.

It would be to replace the one that the notebook has by default so that it has two new dual channel ones.

If your notebook has an 8 GB DDR4 memory chip installed now, you don't need to do that.

There is no such thing as dual channel memory.

Memory runs in dual channel mode if it is installed in matching capacities (2 x 4 GB, 2 x 8 GB, 2 x 16 GB).

So, if your notebook has an 8 GB memory chip installed now, you just need to install another 8 GB memory chip in the empty slot and the memory will run in dual channel mode.

If it has 2 x 4 GB of memory, then it would be fine to replace that with 2 x 8 GB of memory.
