Hello HP-Community,
I have a short question:
I bought a HP Laptop 17-cn3454ng. I can't use the USB-C to connect to a display (34"). Is it possible to use a "HP G5 USB-C Dochkingstation" to connect it and get the screen resolution? I found an information, that the USB-C transmission speed is too low. Charging via USB-C is also currently not possible (Device documentation: 1 USB Type-C® 5 Gbit/s signal rate- only supports data transfer and does not support charging or external monitors).
Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards,
Peter

The specs of your machine is
https://www.hp.com/at-de/products/laptops/product-details/product-specifications/2102122290
It has a hopeless 1 USB Type-C® 5 Gbit/s Signalrate (unterstützt nur Datenübertragung und unterstützt weder das Laden noch externe Monitore) port
which does NOT support Alt mode nor Power Delivery. You can NOT use it to
- Charge your machine,
- Connect to an external monitor with/without hub/dock/adapter
No it is NOT compatible with any USB-C docks.
If you wish to connect 2 external monitors (only-total 3), you can use
- Monitor 1: HDMI direct cable,
- Monitor 2: Using a Displaylink Certified USB-A to HDMI adapter such as
Other option is to use a USB-A dock such as https://www.amazon.com.au/HP-3005PR-USB-Port-Replicator/dp/B008KMDVPQ
Regards.
