My notebook has the AC-3162 wifi adapter on it. But now i want to upgrade it to the AX200 as my house now has wifi 6 technology. My request to the community is to let me know if my laptop is compatible with the AX200 or not

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/compare.html?productIds=89450,189347 ( This link has the comparison between the adapter I wish to get and the current one I have. If someone checks the specifications then they can acknowledge that the product dimensions of the two match exactly. Ensuring that there is the slot and space for me to change the wifi adapters. But I can't seem to find info my motherboard will support the AX200 or not.

This is my motherboard information.

Would definitely appreciate the helpful efforts from the community

Hi:

Unfortunately, I cannot find any posts where someone has installed that model Wi-Fi card in that model series, so if you want to try one out, all I can tell you is it will fit, and that your notebook has the required two antenna wires to connect to the AX200.

This would be the part number I recommend you try.  In any event it must be the non-vPro model of the AX 200.

Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 ax 2×2 + Bluetooth 5.0 MU-MIMO M.2 2230 non-vPro 160 MHz   HP part # L35282-005.

You can find this part number on eBay.  Search by the HP part number, not the model of the Wi-Fi card.

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the Wi-Fi card removal and replacement procedure.

Thanks a lot for the information provided. It is a relief.

I actually saw a review or something on the product website of the ax200 on amazon or someplace where a user wrote that he replaced his previous wifi module of Ac3160/65 with the ax200 module and it gave him better service. So by that I’m hoping everything will go well with it.

I also have another question regarding the wifi adapters. There are a few more namely ax201, ax210, mpe-ax3000h, ax411.

could you kindly clarify which one would be better and also purely compatible for my model, than the ax200.
