Hello @Dcestell76

Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... I would like to help you.

You are on an uncertain path with Windows 11 ...

Recommendation and solution

You should not update

Windows 11 has not been officially tested and released by <HP> and there are no Windows 11 drivers  available.

Kind regards

Hi, @Dcestell76

Your notebook is not supported for W11 because the processor does not meet the minimum W11 hardware requirements established by Microsoft.  AMD notebook processors have to be one of the Ryzen 3xxx series or newer.

I happen to have an exact equivalent to your model notebook (the HP 255 G7 business class version of the 15-db0xxx).

Actually, I have two of them because I was able to get them for a steal.

They both have the same A4-9125 processor as yours and I am happy to report that both of these notebooks can run W11 22H2 just fine.

But here's the catch...you have to be willing to install W11 using one of the hardware check bypass methods to upgrade to W11, and you have to be willing to do that every year when Microsoft releases a new version of W11 (assume 23H2 next September/October).

If you want to try out W11, you can read how I do the hardware check bypass to upgrade to w11 in the discussion below:
