I have a Spectre x360 Convertible Model 15t-eb000 that I got a few years ago (2021 maybe? I got it as a replacement on warranty for my slightly different first Spectre model that stopped working within the first year of owning it). It uses the barrel charger that I got with my original model that’s 135W with a 19.5V 6.9A output. The charger and its supposed spare replacement part are both no longer available and I’ve had no luck with the HP Supported Resellers (not really in the market to drop $180 on a charger right now anyway). The box part (ac adapter?) was accidentally melted by one of my dormmates on a flat top electric stove 4 years ago. I’ve still used it all this time it just gets extremely hot to the touch like to the point I’ve burned myself a few times and my laptop sometimes blue screens as a result of overheating (I’ve already been called crazy for continuing to use it). Now the black covering of the chords is melting off and the wires are shredding and no amount of electrical tape is fixing the problem. I haven’t found any compatible chargers on the HP website, all the barrel models are super low wattage and I’m not sure if my USB-C ports are rated for Power Delivery. Help me HP world, what replacement charger will work for my device?

The part number and description of the power adapter your PC uses is:

L15534-001    135W ADAPTER PFC SMART SLIM

The only suggestion I can offer would be to do a search on eBay by the HP L15534-001 power adapter part number and find a used but tested and working genuine HP power adapter. Those normally come with the power cord that goes from the wall socket to the adapter.

The above power adapter is used in multiple HP products as you can see from the link below:
