Product: Elitebook 820/840 G3
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Hi All, I am looking to get a definitive answer on what kind of docking stations are compatible with the Elitebook 820/840 G3 model of laptops. One of my colleagues advised me that the HP USB-C Dock G4 would be compatible but I do not believe that to be true as I don't think the Elitebooks support power over USB-C until G5. This page seems to back that up - https://support.hp.com/gb-en/document/c05990249. I believe that only the Ultra-Slim 2013 dock is compatible with these models but I am looking to be absolutely certain as the compatibility documentation seems vague. Could someone confirm if there are any USB-C docks that are compible with these models or if they do not support it? Cheers, Gord

  • HP UltraSlim Docking Station D9Y32AA
  • HP Display and Notebook Stand II E8G00AA
  • HP Adjustable Dual Display Stand AW664AA
  • HP USB-C Travel Dock T0K29AA
  • HB USB Travel Dock T0K30AA
