My HP laptop has an expansion port for a NVMe SSD. I want to know a 256 G or 500 G NVMe SSD that would work for my laptop.

Specifically I do not know the PCIe Gen version that is supported by this laptop on that expansion port.

I am considering one of the following :

Kingston NV1 500G M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe Internal SSD

Kingston NV2 250G M.2 2280 NVMe PCIe Internal SSD

Kindly let me know which one would work.

Regards.

You're very welcome.

If by chance there is a M.2 slot, you can install a SATA M 2 SSD.

Hi:

Your notebook does not have a M.2 slot for a SSD.

If for some reason it does, then the slot only supports SATA SSD's not NVMe.

M.2 SSD support is not even listed as an option in the service manual.

Hi Paul,

Thank you for the reply. My local laptop technician had opened the laptop for a RAM upgrade when he noticed this port and suggested the NVMe SSD.

I will ask him to try out and confirm, just in case.
