Hello, everyone!
I have a Pavilion dv6 - 1320ev laptop with 4 GB RAM installed in 2 slots.
I want to upgrade the RAM to 8GB (2 x 4 GB).
I am between
Kingston KCP313SS8/4 4GB DDR3 1333MHz Non ECC RAM Memory SODIMM ( 2 of them)
and
Corsair 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3-1333MHz (CMSO8GX3M2A1333C9)
but I don't know if they are compatible with my laptop.
Could you please help me?
Thanks in advance!

Hi:
The Kingston most likely will not work because it has 4 little black memory chips on each side of the circuit board.
You need memory that has 8 little black chips on each side of the circuit board, and from the pictures I have seen of the Corsair part number you posted, that memory does have 8 little black chips on each side of the board.
So, I would go with that one as my first choice.

You're very welcome.
Hopefully it will work.
You can read this discussion on how hard it is to get the right DDR3 memory on HP notebooks with the Intel series 4 and 5 chipsets.

Thank you for the post. It was very helpful!
I ordered and installed the Corsair RAM you suggested. It was a success!
The system recognized the 2 RAMs instantly, with no compatibility problems.
Thank you again for your help!
