Pavilion 15 - cw1507sa

Hi

I'm disabled and all help appreciated

Have just acquired the above laptop. Some of my existing software is on disk and therefore need an external drive to be able to upload.

Have tried 2 quality drives (can't recall models etc. had a stroke 4 years ago and recall not good.  Both wouldn't be recognised by the comp!

2 things please: 1 Can anyone recommend a proven external CD/DVD drive that is compatible

2 Is this a common problem and is there a workround

Thank you

.

All USB external ODD's should work. I've got 3 of them now but I prefer to use 7 years old which is an older version of the following one

              https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Computer/Computer+Drives/BDR-XD07UHD

It supports burning BluRay disc too.

Other two are same brand and model, they are EZ-DUB probably 11 years old now. Do you still need to load something from CD/DVD. If yes, yu have to use external ODD.

Regards.
