Hi Community,  I am planning to upgrade (Memory & Storage) my HP Notebook -15-ay085tu.

 

Memory: System has 4 GB DDR3L-1600 SDRAM (1 x 4 GB) and supports up to 8GB.

 

Q1: Does my laptop has two RAM slots and Which RAM will be best Compatible to my system?

 

Storage: To replace the HDD (1TB) with SSD.


Q2: Which internal SSD I should use and What is the storage size of supported SSD on this motherboard? Any specific data i should take care in procuring?

 

It will be of great help if some product/component links can be shared. And, always welcome to get more inputs/ideas in upgrading this laptop.

Hi:

 

Your notebook has one memory slot and the maximum memory the slot will support is 1 x 8 GB of DDR3L-1600.

Your only option for a SSD would be to replace the 2.5" mechanical hard drive with a 2.5" SATA SSD.

 

There are many different brands to choose from, so choose one that has good reviews and has a storage capacity that meets your needs and budget.
