Product: HP ENVY 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-cr0000 (537Z9AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I have very recently bought the Envy 17.3 laptop, and I have 2 memory modules that I have taken out of my old Dell Inspiron - they are Intregral IN4V16GNELSI 16GB DDR4 2666MHZ. Could I use these in my HP Envy laptop?

Hi:

 

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

 

Maintenance and Service Guide (hp.com)

 

Chapter 1 has the memory upgrade info.

 

It may be possible that the DDR4-2666 MHz memory will work, but your notebook's memory is going to run 2 clock speeds slower than it was designed to, which will degrade performance.
