HP Laptop - 14-fq0020nr, I have the before mentioned laptop running Windows 11 home. I opened it up to replace the ram, inside was a Samsung 4 GB 16 pc4 3200 AA scd. I've been told that I can put 16 GB per ram what would be a comparable chip that I could use. Excuse my language if it doesn't add up because I'm 64 trying to get through this. It wouldn't let me add the laptop or the running system above. So I want to replace what I took out with 16 GB. Also I'm looking to upgrade them hard drive to 1tb. Open it up I can't see it. Bear with me I'm learning. Any help would be greatly appreciate it thank you

When I had critical check my PC they recommended and unfortunately with it I have been bought. Two 8 GB ddr4 2400 sodiumm 1.2V CL17 . When I open the laptop up there was only one slot that had the 4 GB Samsung ram. So is your like a hidden other memory slot or am I just missing something.

Also upgrading my hard drive to 1tb critical SSD. I don't see the old one is there a manual somewhere I can look at. Again any help would be greatly appreciated thank you for taking the time to do this for me all those involved

The manual is no longer available. Now, I was afraid that it only had one slot. The recommendation for DDR4-2400 is valid. You have DDR4-3200, but the frequency is lowered to 2400 because that is what the processor supports. You probably have a 64 eMMC disk installed that is soldered to the motherboard. These disks cannot be changed, but you should check if you have an M.2 slot that you can use for an additional disk.

If you only have 8 GB of RAM, you should check if your hard drive has an m.2 slot. If not, then you should use an external connector for this M.2 .

yes, a single 16 GB module should work without any problems.
